The BC Society of Allergy and Clinical Immunology

Message from the President:

The BC Society of Allergy and Clinical Immunology is a professional organization comprising board-certified physicians specializing in Allergy and Clinical Immunology. Our mission is to deliver compassionate, high-quality care to individuals with allergic and immunologic conditions across British Columbia and beyond.

Our expertise encompasses a broad spectrum of conditions, including seasonal allergies (allergic rhinitis), food allergies, eczema, asthma, chronic hives, medication allergies, venom (insect sting) allergies, primary and secondary immunodeficiencies, and eosinophilic esophagitis, among others. Many of our clinicians possess specialized interests in one or more of these areas, enabling us to provide tailored care for our patients.

Our services are accessible exclusively through referrals from other physicians, such as family doctors. We also collaborate closely with other medical specialists, including dermatologists, respirologists, rheumatologists, and otolaryngologists, to ensure comprehensive, patient-centered care and informed decision-making.

Beyond clinical practice, our society remains steadfast in advocating for the needs of our patients. Recently, we have focused our efforts on securing appropriate resources and funding to expand PharmaCare coverage for critical medications, such as biologic therapies. We are committed to continuing this advocacy at the governmental level to improve access to care and support patient well-being.
